Grow With Me, is from a series of sculptures carved from plaster blocks, created after a stone carving course in Carrara, Italy, in October 2023. These organic, bodily forms evoke a connection between natural rock formations along the coast of Naples and the human spine. This series reflects both my internal response to these geological shapes, and my father’s diagnosis of myeloma cancer which started in his spine . The sculptures represent a fusion of nature’s resilience and the human body’s vulnerability, speaking to themes of growth, transformation, and healing.
