Three abstract sculptures made of black metal and wood, each mounted on a rectangular wooden block, displayed against a white wall.
A woman with curly hair and glasses posing in an art gallery with artwork on the wall, standing amidst contemporary sculptures on wooden pedestals, in an industrial-style space with large windows and exposed brick walls.
Two workers wearing safety helmets and face shields working outdoors at dusk, with one near a fire and industrial equipment in the background.
Two illuminated art sculptures on dirt ground, one shaped like a heart with a glowing red interior and another with a circular opening, both resembling abstract artistic pieces.

For the Life of me

Cast Iron mounted on Oak/Edition 1/1

Right – 72cm x 28cm x 20cm

Middle – 72cm x 29cm x 22cm

Left – 56cm x 24cm x 19cm

This series was cast during an Iron Pour weekend at Coles Castings, Dorset. These sculptures were completed and exhibited in 2023 at Unconsumed (The Shoe Factory) and Emerge (Undercroft Gallery) in Norwich. The twisted iron forms capture a fleeting moment of anguish, their contorted shapes frozen in metal. Yet, each piece is anchored by a solid oak base - a grounding force that speaks to resilience and inner strength amid turmoil.
